Direct Access Endoscopy

The Center for Gastroenterology (CFG) and Harmony Surgery Center, LLC (HSC) have created an alternative option for you and your patients. In certain conditions, endoscopy will be performed on direct access basis, when requested by the referring physicians. Direct Access Endoscopy was created to expedite the care of your patients when you have determined that the indication for the procedure is straightforward. This program should only be used when you do not feel the patient needs a consultation and a thorough evaluation by the gastroenterologist.

The following procedures are available for Direct Access Endoscopy:

• Colonoscopy

• Flexible Sigmoidoscopy

• Upper GI (EGD)
