Registration and What to Expect

Here are some the most commonly asked questions...

What to bring?

  1. Please bring all health insurance cards and information.

  2. Paperwork, if completed prior to procedure.

  3. A responsible adult to drive you home following your procedure.

  4. A list of current medications and dosages you are taking.

What do I do the morning of my procedure?

  1. Do not eat or drink anything unless instructed by your physician. This includes coffee, water, gum, or mints.

  2. Do not wear make up.

  3. Leave all valuables at home.

  4. Please wear comfortable loose fitting clothing.

Where should I park?

There are signs posted around the campus directing you to the east entrance, marked "Ambulatory Care Center," which is the key entrance for our Surgery Center. The east entrance is located to the right of the "Urgent Care Center" sign.

When should I arrive?

Please arrive approximately one hour before your procedure is scheduled. There are some exceptions so please check with your physician's office before your procedure.

Where should I go?

Once you have entered the building, from the east entrance, marked "Ambulatory Care Center," please take the elevators directly to your left, and go to the second floor. You will check in at the Reception desk located right as you get off the elevators.

Where can my family and friends wait for me?

Family and friends may wait in our comfortable lobby, and enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, and cookies. Our lobby is staffed Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We also have complimentary pagers available if they decide to leave the facility for any reason.

Will my surgeon talk to a family member after my surgical procedure?

We do encourage our surgeons to talk to family members after a procedure.

Are there public telephones?

Public telephones are located in our lobby, and on the first floor behind the elevators.

Is this a non-smoking campus?
